Part of our malt exploration series we've brewed four IPAs covering the full spectrum of beer colour from the lightest to the darkest using Riverina grown Voyager Malts.

This Black IPA is built on an exciting blend of Atlas, Voodoo and Chocolate Wheat, layered with Ethiopian Black Barley and Roasted Tibetan Purple Malt, grains with roots dating back to 4500 BC. It is a malt bill that takes no back seat, stepping confidently to the forefront of the palate with nutty, roasty depth and a rich chocolate finish. The hops are there for structure and complexity, adding lift and balance without stealing the show.

Can. Very dark brown, a cm of beige head. Interesting aroma of light chocolate pastry, toasted grains, nectarines, some grapefruit. Taste follows - cocoa and nutty grains with balancing stone fruit, citrus and light spices. Interesting and good.
