It is said that last autumn's cider is only ready to be tapped, bottled and drunk when the first cuckoo's call is heard in the Spring.
This cider was bottled on the 13th of May, the day the cuckoo arrived back at Prospect Orchard after its epic migration from Africa to Wales. Scan here to read more about the story of this cider and cuckoos.
Made from Egremont Russet and Flanders Cox apples, pressed in October 2024.
This elegant cider has notes of kiwi, honeydew and tropical fruits.
Best serve chilled. Pair with fresh cheeses and fruit, a perfect picnic accompaniment.

750ml bottle from Welsh Mountain. Golden colour, white foam head that quickly dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of apple, fruit, funk. Taste is tangy, tart, appley, fleshy, kiwi fruit hints, with leathery funk, some oak barrel, and alittle acidity. Medium bodied, light carbonation, drying funky acidic finish. Nicely drinkable.
