Sampled at Ram-Rosemont, 10/26/15. As Chicago Blonde. Clear gold color with no head. Corn and adjunct type aroma / flavor with some grains as well. Light body. What you'd expect.

On tap at Big Horn U District, pours a clear dull blonde with a small with head. Nose brings out straw and stale bready malt. Flavour brings out cereal malt, some straw and a light sweetness. There's nothing wrong with this. Clean and drinkable, just unexciting.

Draft at Humperdinks in Arlington. Very pale yellow, no head or lacing. No detectable aroma. Plain bitter taste. Throw this one back.

A pretty clean house light beer. Some dry, earthy clusterish hop tones. A touch too sweet, sugary for the style. Not the kind of beer I’d ever revisit, very macro-straightforward.

On tap at Ram, Tacoma. A clear one, more or less, topped by a small, white head. Pale golden in color. Some grains in the aroma, but it’s mostly fruity. Peaches and canned pears spring to mind. Pretty similar flavor, with a nice drying bitterness. Medium body, quite dry, with pleasant carbonation. Certainly not a world class beer, but it’s tasteful and thirst quenching. 130629

Sampler at The Ram, Schaumburg. A decidedly beginner’s level craft beer, but a style that often doesn’t hit the mark for me. Looks like their pilsener, just with a bit more foam clinging to the meniscus. A bit less sweet than the pilsener I had before this sample. Use of mostly US hops gives it a bit more contrast.

Tap. Orange and barley malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Sweet orange/lemon and barley malt flavor. Lightly bitter herbal hops finish. A decent drinking beer.
