Brewed by two legends of the style, pFreal West Coast IPA is being brewed in partnership with pFriem Brewing out of Hood River, Oregon in celebration of the Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest. This west coast IPA has a pale, crisp malt body that lets Mosaic, Nectaron, and Krush Cryo dry hops shine with a juicy balance of peach, tangerine peel and mango aromas and flavors.

On tap at Grumpy’s. Pours a clear deep gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has citrus rind and pine with a bit of grain and light onion supporting. Flavor has slightly earthy pine with dank grass and a bit of onion in the finish.

Draft at Homebrewstuff. Cloudy golden pour, thin skin of fine foam. Light hoppy aroma. Taste brings notes of pine, pale malts and citrus. Very well- balanced

12 oz. can, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma reveals bright melony hops, a touch of pine, and some washed out oniony notes. Flavour is bitter but not particularly vibrant in hop expression – things feel a bit muted and lacking freshness (this is under 3 months old). Very dry, lightly piney, moderately bitter finish. Again, not the most expressive hops here. Pleasant but far from a superior westie.

355mL can. Pours clear light gold with a white head. Dry pine, dank resins, and stonefruit on the nose. Flavour has dry pine, resins, citrus fruits, some melon. Good, but the hops are a bit dull and muddled.

Draft pour is clear and bright gold, very little haze. Poured right up to the rim, luckily there's very little foam. Nose has nice tropical fruit smell, and a bit of citrus. Taste has the established hit of West Coast bitterness, then the Papa and other tropical fruit. Nice to find on a first tap during the US 🇺🇸 Australia 🇦🇺 Cup match.

Lilly, grapefruit nose. Clear yellow, medium head, rings of lace. Lilly, lemon zest, weed, slightly on the dry side. Chardonnay finish. Medium body, easy carbonation, somewhat waxy. Nice personality.
