Sample from tap at the brewery. Pours golden yellow with a white head. Mild Aroma of soft malt. Flavour is sweet malty, has a soft fruitiness going into a nice bitter finish. Good pilsener.

Pour is a bright golden with a white head. Aroma is a malty sweetness. Flavor is nice and hoppy with a sweetnes. Finish is watery and bland though. Starts off nice but ends badly. Good effort but nothing stands out in this for a good pils.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a pale yellow color with a very large yellow-white head. The aroma is sour and tangy malts with light floral hops. The flavor is light malts with a light yeasty undertone and a hint of floral hops. Fairly forgettable.

Original rating, 3/21/06. Bottle, "Enjoy by Mar 10." All right. I’m looking for that reliable, everyday, easy-to-find great pilsner beer to keep on hand to introduce others to the better beer world. Is this it? Well, it slipped a bit past its prime, but let’s see: Opens with a nice German hoppy smell that coiuld be close to skunk, still pleasant. In a Bitburger pils glass, I get an appealing gold body, few bubbles, and a stiff white head. Nose in the glass gets an occasional whiff of lipstick, but I can’t pin it down (no, my wife doesn’t drink out of my beer glasses). Taste is lightly toasted malts like an English muffin. Those hops the BMC folks forgot to use are here, leaving a bitter curdle at the throat. Hearty yet refreshing. Packaged light lagers are always problematic, but this one makes a very good at being as good a pilsner as I’ve found.
New 12 oz. bottle, 5/30/06: This bottle is dated "Enjoy by Feb 24," This bottle is either older or very fresh, but it came home in a hot car trunk. However, most of the off tastes I described before are missing, leaving a more refined brew, but a tad less mouthfeel. I think I can stand by this original rating.

Slightly yellowish golden pilsener, well carbonated to fluffy white, consistent head. Initially very grassy nose, pale malts, warm-sweetish aromas. Dry, very metallic/walnut - bitter pils. Bitterness completely obfuscates the restsweetness of the malt, and becomes more and more clearly hoppy with time. Some fruitiness in the back, as from fresh figs. Nice hoppy finish going over in long bitterish aftertaste, less sharp than in the beginning. Not bad, but I haven’t had a single pils in Czechia sporting such sharp bitterness. Overshooting its (obvious) target, but not without merits. Thanks, David.

Clear straw-colored body, big puffy off-white head dissipating rapidly. Grassy hops and cerealy malt aroma. Not bad-tasting at all, with biscuit and cereals backing the grassy, zesty, hops. Bitter finish. One of the better bohemian pilseners, a style I’m not particularly enamored with.

Light golden color. Aroma is mild with hops and malt, but not much of either. This one has the flavor of a full bodied pilsner. The heavy palate is the best quality in this beer.
