Wage is een historisch kuitbier, gebrouwen met 100% Nederlandse ingredienten. De haver komt uit het Brouwbos Sellink van And The People en is vermout bij Vloermouterij Masterveld. De gemengde gistcultuur en rijping op houten vaten maken dit bier een bijzonder delicate en gebalanceerde ode aan de Nederlandse (bier)geschiedenis.
Kuitbier is namelijk opgenomen in De Ark van de Smaak: een internationale catalogus van bedreigd culinair erfgoed uitgebracht door Slow Food Nederland.
Dit bier is het slotstuk van de meer dan 12 jaar durende brouwvriendschap tussen Nevel en De Kromme Haring.

Bortle at home. Almost clear light golden. Lemon balm, lemon zest, wheat, typical Nevel yeast, spruce, pink pepper, Szechuan pepper, white wine. Under medium sour, light sweet. Just medium bodied. Really really nice, I don't get the low ratings at all.

Spritziger, fein säuerlicher Beginn mit deutlichen Kräuternoten, Heu, moderate Bitterkeit, recht trocken. Die milde Säure nimmt noch ab, hohe Süffigkeit, trocken, langer, moderat kräutriger Abgang. Nett. 9/10/10/9/11/9

330ml bottle. Cloudy, yellow-ish, bright golden colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Herbal-spicy aroma, minimally grainy, pale malty background, hints of juniper berry, herbs. Taste is tart-ish, bitter hoppy, herbal-spicy, pale malty basis without residual sweetness, hints of juniper berry, herbs.
Oily texture, slightly dry and minimally astringent palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Earthy, nevertheless fairly refreshing - nice.

Bottle. Color: Lightly hazy pale golden, white head. Aroma: Citrus fruit. Taste: Citrus fruit, lemon, subtle herbal notes, oat malt, grainy hints. Just below medium body, just below average carbonation. Funky hints. Moderate tartness, light bitterness. Quite long lasting finish. Typical De Kromme Haring / Nevel beer. Worthy final collab.

Draft at If It Ain't Dutch... Aroma is herbal and citrusy. Hazy-opaque gold. Thin foamy white head. Flavourwise it's very tangy citrusy and some herbs. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. A citrusy IPA for me. Dece.

Taste comprises green berry must, straw, grains, herb, hedgerow.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Sourish with bready grains, light funk, grass, lemon, hay. Moderate sour flavour, light bitter with a dry finish. Interesting and pretty tasty. Farewel Nevel.
