Transfer Tape, our first expression of a Wheat Wine, is the finished beer that came from a barrel starting life aging tawny port and then used to finish rye whiskey. All of that complex spirit flavor was transferred to our Wheat Wine during an 11 month aging period.

Nice deep amber in the glass, with a thick head at first. Definitely getting both port wine and the whiskey in the nose. Taste brings in plenty of malt, though the mouthfeel thins out a bit. But then the taste thickens up, with nice fresh barley wine notes. End result is very mellow. Should have had this after the barrel aged stout coming up.
