We’re very excited to be one of just three UK breweries selected for this year’s FWD programme by Yakima Chief Hops. The FWD programme gives brewers exclusive access to cutting edge, not yet commercialised hop varieties from Yakima Chief’s innovation pipeline. For this release we’ve got our hands on the exciting new HBC 1176 pairing it with a touch of Citra to create a soft, pillowy hazy IPA. Expect notes of lemon meringue, mango kulfi, and sweet citrus.

Can. Hazy gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy smooth palate, a very mild dryness, good fine minerally carbonation. Soft pale malts, a nice light creamy sweetness. HBC1176 delivers good juicy tropical fruit hops, pineapple takes the lead. A little mango but also a slightly tangy brightness, a lemony stone fruit thing. Soft cooling pine. Citra does its normal sterling job of backfilling. Trace of hop spice on the soft finish. Love the tropical tang and brightness. Lovely.
