Schwarzbier

Tap at Medina Škrinja, Varaždin. I really, REALLY hope it's not the same keg that nephirem had still on tap... but it wouldn't shock me. Very dark brown body, blackish, off-white head. Caramelly maltiness and funky, unclean pipe vibes, somewhat fruity in the aroma. Smooth malty body, empty, bit of caramel, and more funky, fruity notes, indicative of infection, lightly sour. I'll try to catch it somewhere else, but this was... not great. Come on people, that 0.05l or 0.1l you pour out if the beer wasn't poured in a while won't put you out of business, but it might make someone pay 4-5 more Euros for another glass of a beer if it's not fucked by the pipes. But if it's NOT the pipes - well, this should've been off and returned... It would've been 5.6/5.8 as I could finish it, and I raised it just in case it was the bar's fault...

On tap @Medina Škrinja pub, Varaždin. Black pour, two finger creamy beige head, medium retention, sticky lacing on the glass. Sweet and roasty on the nose, wood notes, light fruity, caramel in the background.

Medium body, soft carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft, chewy, creamy, light sticky. Balanced bittersweet taste, slightly roasted. Aroma of toasted caramel, wood, dark bread. Nutty, light chocolate notes. Medium lasting finish, slightly dry, sweet, roasty.

Easily drinkable. Good one.

On tap at Pivana Zagreb. Black coloured, medium sized pale beige head, light roasty nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, light grainy and caramel with nutty notes. Light roasty and dry finish. Not bad.
