Cerry is a blend of cider apples and perry pears. Whist this drink is more often called Pyder, we’ve never been fans of that word so decided to reverse the portmanteau! A mere 76 bottles were created, meaning you hold in your glass a rare treat indeed!

Food pairing suggestions: Dry with a very gentle natural sparkle, we think this is an excellent alternative to white wine. The Blakeney Red perry pears bring their characteristic hint of melon, whilst the Tremlett’s Bitter gives an almost woody smokiness. Kingston Black and Brown’s apple provide some gentle but moreish acidity.

This pairs excellently with prosciutto, salty olives and good, crusty sourdough bread.

750ml bottle from Artistraw, for #rgpm. Hazed golden colour, some short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of fleshy apple, perry pear, flowery, fruit, funk. Taste is perry pear, apple core, funky, zesty citric, elderflower, white wine-like notes, with some acidity and woody tannin. Medium bodied, light carbonation, drying tart acidic & tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
