West Coast IPA
Vegan
In the shadow of the boldest IPAs, Umbra emerges—deep, uncompromising, and full of West Coast attitude. This classic IPA is a throwback to the style’s origins, where resinous pine, citrus bitterness, and a crisp, dry finish reign supreme. Just like an umbra—the darkest part of a shadow—this beer casts a bold silhouette, cutting through the haze with clarity and bite.

Can from Asda. Clear deep golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Aroma of pine, lemon and honey. Flavour of orange and white candy sticks. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Solid gear.

Pours clear orange with a lingering off white head that laces well. Smells of mangoes and pine. It tastes of caramel malt, tropical fruit, and a little pine. Moderately bitter with a medium body. Quite nice.

Can from Tesco Danestone. It pours clear copper with a medium white head. The aroma is sappy, sticky, spruce, pine, toffee, resin, digestive biscuit and hint of marmalade. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, green, pine, spruce, sally, resinous, peppery spice, nip of alcohol and toffee with a drying, piney finish. Average body and carbonation. Decent enough, but don't think it would stand out in crowd.
