Opaque colour, tiny beige head. Toasted sweet aroma with some vanilla and pistachio. Full-bodied, smooth palate. Toasted, sweet, lots of vanilla, some pistachio. Tad too sweet for my liking, no roast or bitterness. Bought from Vitamin B.

A typically sweet and reasonably tasty pastry offering from this brewery. A bit cloying? Yes. Some toasted nut notes, burnt sugars, raisins, caramel, vanilla. In small doses, it’s fine. A little sticky and warming.

CBJ Sit-In. Aroma is chocolate and fruit. A boozy cloud. Dark. Cola. Thinnest beige head. Flavourwise it has praline with a boozy edge. Medium bodied. Oily. Light-medium carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice.

Taste starts with overly sweet and rich roasted malt, chocolate and licorice, follows by pistachio and vanilla with warm alcoholic mouthfeel.
