Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and caramel finish.

Tap. Pours opaque black, small tan head, nice residual and lacing. Aroma is roasty and cocoa, molasses, burnt malt. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, notes of coffee, cherry, cocoa, roasted malt. Medium body, soft silky mouthfeel. Pretty solid. I am with Every.

Draft at the brewery, Monterey. Opaque black coloured pour with a lasting thin tan head. Aroma is sweet and milky, milk choc, lactose sugars, little dried roast. Flavour is sweet and milky, lactose sugars, chocy roast. Hint of roasted barley. Palate is smooth and creamy, moderate carbonation. Solid sweet stout.

[2/16/15] Draught at Peter B’s Brewpub in Monterey. Black with a brown head. Pleasant roasty aroma with coffee. Roasty flavor with coffee, a dark fruit hint and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied, slightly over-carbonated.

Keg at Peter Bs, Monterey, 29/04/14. Light black with a moderate ta covering that dissipates to a swirl and edgeing. Nose is roast malt, chocolate, baking powder. Taste comprises roasty tones, light coffee, cocoa powder, dark toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough, above average stout.
