Built like a massive brick Schwarzbier. Liquorice root brings complexity, black treacle, dark brown sugar and notes of molasses. Rounded out with a decadent dose of vanilla pods, sweet creamy caramel dessert vibes. Polished with a full month of cold conditioning.

Keg draught at the Real Ale Classroom, Leicester city centre. Pours very, very dark brown with the thin khaki head and lots of lacing. Aroma of chocolate, a little Marmite, a little marshmallow. Taste starts with a sweet/savoury interplay with heavy caramel and salted molasses notes, turning very bitter toward the finish. Body stays on the light side with decent but not overpowering carbonation. For the ABV, I'd want more intensity, but it's enjoyable and complex.
