Bottle. Pours a clear orange a with a bit of amber and a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces slightly. Aroma has starts with some sweet grains, light fruits and a bit of grassy hops. Flavor has a bit more citrus with sweet grains and fruit as well as a bit of grass coming out in the finish.

12oz bottle. Hazy orange-tan. Soapy, steady head. Solid hop aroma. A pretty well rounded IPA, quite well balanced. Toasty golden malt tones, and a big hoppy backbone. Lightly resinous. Full of flavor and still relatively sessionable. Nails it.

Hazy copper pour - faint soapy lace - crisp, dry, crackery aroma, with copious earthy, woody hops - resinous - a bit of bready malt to start things off, but just enough to give the hops something to ride in on - becomes fairly dry from mid to finish - hops are woody at first, but settle onto the palate as a bitter citrus note that lasts through the finish - reminds me why IPAs are such a persistently popular style.

Major points to that special woman for bringing home a Utah rating for me. Love truly knows no bounds, I guess. Anyhow, out of the bottle this pours a very transparent orange with little head... kinda sudsy and quite ephemeral. Aromas of oranges and cream with a little peach and honey sweetness. Flavor is pretty sweet stuff with hops as a bit of an afterthought. The whole thing is a bit washed out, but not awful... just needs to be more assertive to make me happy. Malt presence is a honey/dough/light caramel flavor with a bit of an orange and herbal hops presence that show before it fades back into a fairly sweet malt finish. A little bit of a hops sting shows up on the lips in the late aftertaste, but it’s too little, too late.

Taste: Floral and citrus with a nice light malt backbone
This is a very nice IPA, another great beer from Squatters.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a white head and a clear golden body. Aroma of grapefruit, pine and herbal hops. Taste is pine, lightly metallic, and hay. Medium bubbles. Not bad.

This 12oz bottle came as a "freebie" in the free trade with Footbalm. Pours a transparent, orange yellow with tons of carbonation and a tight, lacing, sudsy head. Aroma is very typical of an English Pale Ale, some and malt married together with nothing jumping out as the lead aroma. Get your nose in there and you’ll pick up biscuits, slight resin and leafy vegetables. Flavor has more citrus than the nose would indicate, lemons and oranges with slightly grainy bread and something floral like dandelions. Dry finish has some mild lasting bitterness. Good session beer, well crafted.

12 oz. bottle, another trade from douglas88. Lot of floaties swirling around the bottle. Foam pushes out the neck upon opening, Cloudy copper with a thick whitish head. Smells like a clean beer, with hints of leafy hops. Taste brings out nice fruitiness from both the ale fermentation and the IPA hops. Very light syrupy taste clings to mouth after sipping, but charged with more hop goodness. Feels like it should be more acrid and puckery, but that’s only to tease you. Definitely in the English style of IPA, and with hops still fresh enough to make their mark. This was a fun find.

Big thanks to Degarth for scoring me an IPA rating and also my first Utah rating!! Pours a clear deep gold with lasting off white foam ring. The aroma is full with both spicy and floral hops definitely showing off that it is an English version of the style. There is also a base malt sweetness just detectible behind the hops. Just like the aroma the spice and floral hop bitterness hit right off and helped along by the carbonation. Then a more citrus lemon tartness enters the picture to smother the brief up welling of malts sweetness. The finish and aftertaste are occupied by mild lemon tartness and spice like hoppiness.

12 oz bottle from Utah State Liquor Store in Salt Lake City; wasn’t on draft at brewpub; nose of light citrus hops and peaches; pretty clear orange with a medium orangish-beige head; flavor of some hoppy bitterness and some light fruitiness and sweetness. Not a typical American IPA! Maybe a Hefe-IPA?
