The second release of Ghost Elephant Imperial Stout. We aged it again in a cask from Caol Ila - peated Scotch whisky from the island of Islay. But this time, the whisky was not mixed with red wine, but with noble Oloroso Sherry.
The aroma is delicately smoky, with notes of iodine, seaweed, prunes, raisins and wood. The taste is soft, balanced, with a slight sweetness and a deep aftertaste.

Bottle. Color: Black, mocha head. Aroma: Roasted malt, coffee, smoke, earthy. Taste: Iodine, smoke, roasted malt, coffee, earthy. Hoppy backbone. Some dark fruit notes. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Over moderate sweet, moderate to over moderate bitterness. Long lasting iodine finish. It's quite a long time ago I've had a beer with such a strong iodine taste. Nice one.

Smell of peat, whisky, some roasted malt. Dark brown colour, small beige head. Aroma of peat, oak, roasted malt, Ardbeg-like whisky, some rye bread and tar in finish. Bitter, lightly sweet. Soft carbon. Slightly dry palate. Barrel treatment fits excellently.
