The connection we have to the very people who allow us to produce the beers we do here at Polly’s runs super deep. It’s a lot more than just transactional with our ingredient suppliers; we like to know the hops, the malt, and yeast we utilise in each and every one of our beers has good people behind it, which was the genesis of Covalent Bond – a series we hope to grow and release regularly to showcase the excellent people behind the excellent people who make our beers. Being in town for one of the biggest trade events of the year meant we couldn’t help but reach out to the wonderful Loughran Brewer’s Select, who have been responsible for some of the best hops arriving from Crosby Farms in the US, and Hop Revolution in New Zealand in recent months. With a whole truckload of the freshest Elani, Strata and Vista directly from the source, we’ve carefully created the freshest fruit-forward pale ale we possibly can; dripping with white peach, orange zest, guava and a just a whisper of slick, dank cannabis smoke.

Can. A hazy yellowish gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light smooth pale malts, a very light creamy sweetness. Appropriate for this brew. The eclectic hop trio bring a pleasing array of cooling pine, a mild hop spice, slightly tangy bright citrus, soft floral white grape, traces of apricot and tropical fruits. Light finish. Like the way these hops come together here. Vista seems to be taking the lead.

Cloudy gold with a bubbly white head and a fruit hop aroma. Soft and smooth, dank stone fruit, hop bitterness and a dry softly bitter finish.
