My local beer shop had a 12 oz can so I picked it up at a good price. Martin House is a brewery relatively close to me, well, it is in Texas at least. Iβve had many of their beers, they generate new ones frequently. A snifter from the now-closed Buffalo Bayou brewery gets the duty this evening. I have to call the color of the pour jet black while the here-and-gone head is a rich mahogany brown. The nose is chocolate, grain and a true as advertised coconut. I have a drink and there is nothing lacking. Equal amounts of dark chocolate and coconut, a touch of nuts and some woodiness. A subdued sweetness and a decent bitterness, well done I say. No acknowledgment from the 10% abv but I trust it is there. A surprisingly good imperial stout.
