Bottle. Frothy White fair mostly deminishing head. Greenish yellow colour. Powerfull grapefruit notes. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Powerfullgrapefruit notes. Week moldy. Oily palate.

Sampled at 8th Danish Ratebeer Gathering, Ulfborg 2015, day 2. Clear pale yellow color, no head. Smell and taste are both artificial, some citrussy industrial perfumy something with a slight sour touch. If that is the yuzu then I definitely don’t like that fruit.

Bottle at Chris & Ruth’s pre-GBBF shindig, 2015. Straw yellow pour, no head. Peppery spice and sweet fruit aroma. Sacks of lime in the flavour with a hint of lemon. Interesting.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy yellow/golden with no head. Aroma of Yuzu, some grapefruit and pineapple. Similar taste. Very easy to drink and with a fairly tart finish.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Cloudy golden, no head - sounds like pouring tonic water. Grape Tonic aroma. Tart with light body and clean mouthfeel. Simplistic taste of grape tonic with extra lemon and a dash of sour milk. Could potentially work as a drink mixer - as a beer it serves no purpose for me. Very superficial. Pretty much what I expect from modern flavoured Berliner Weisses.

(330ml bottle from Systembolaget) Pours a very murky dark gold with soda pop carbonation and no head. Aroma yuzu, lime, lemonade, white grape juice, a real spicy zest character that could be sudachi?, slight wet grass undertone. Smells very good, if not much like beer, more like tonic. On the palate, lemon and lime juice, yuzu zest, citric acid, light lactic, a little grape juice, lightly tart, not sour. Finish has a bit of white bread, yuzu peel-ish bitterness, dry. Just a little grain in the aftertaste. Watery body with little carb. Smells wonderful, flavour doesn’t follow through, like a less punchy radler or cooler. The flavours are good because I like yuzu, but really I’d much prefer a yuzu/sake/soda cocktail if I want a yuzu-flavoured refresher.
