Tap at the brewery. Fine black beer with Beige head. Nose is choclate and roasted malt. Tastes of cocoa powder, roasted malt, hints of maple, and some cola. Flavors are subdued and its touch watery. The other stouts in tasting were better.

New England Bucket List Trip Beer #238. Growler from Nikki’s Liquors. Pours near black with a thin creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malt, maple, nuts, hints of dark fruit. The taste is roasted malt, nuts, chocolate, maple. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Sampled at 3rd annual RI Brewfest; Nose is light maple syrup with light chocolate. Moderate sweetness to the nose, maple and cocoa. Flavor is moderately sweet. Maple syrup is pretty subtle overall, not dominating the porter. Coffee and caramel secondary flavors. Nice.

Draft at the source courtesy of Eric, thanks! Very dark brown color, tan head. Aroma of dark bittersweet cocoa. Taste is dry and powdery cocoa and coffee grounds. Decent. Their signature brew.
