Cask at Guildford Arms. Dark brown body with a thin beige head. Patchy lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and Twiglets. Flavour of smoke and Marmite. Thin body with a slick texture. A tasty and flavoursome beer that punches above its low ABV.

Cask at The Jolly Judge. It pours clear super dark brown with a thick, fluffy tan head. The aroma is toasty, rich maltage, malt loaf, fruit cake, earthy, twiggy, dried fruits and cacao nibs. The taste is dry, bitter, cacao nibs, coffee grounds, earthy, woody, malt loaf, dried fruits, raisin, fruit cake, malt loaf and some spice with a drying, toothy finish. Average body and moderate cask carbonation. Decent Scottish ale.
