This batch of The Turn was aged in used barrels from our Friends at TG. Ex-Stout, Ex-Apple Brandy barrels provide a unique layer of complexity over the base Wildflower mead underneath. Subtle cinnamon spice meets flashes of citrus and mulled apple cider. Sweetness from the honey provides balance to the added wood tannins, though the former life of the barrel is truly the star of the show here.

Pours clear brown. Scent is 'old' wood, roasty notes, funky honey, mild alcohol. Taste is full, sweet, staight up funky, floral honey. Barrels are medium present.
