This is a simply made cider from Major, an apple that ranks amongst the highest of all the varieties;(forgive the pun). Even better, the fruit was grown by our good friends the Johnsons on Broome Farm, Ross-on-Wye from their carefully managed, orchards.
The apples were pressed in the second half of October, spontaneously fermented and eventually racked into bottle to complete their journey. It’s become a delicious pét-nat which has retained little natural sugar. It has a super soft, velvety mouthfeel and flavours of peach iced tea, vanilla, baked apples and all the warm spices you might associate with them, making it the perfect cider to match virtually anything with a little heat.

750ml bottle from Little Pomona. Orangey golden colour, white foam head that quickly dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of apple, fleshy, skin & core, funk hint. Taste is sweetish, appley, ripe fruit, with alittle funk, some drying acidity and tannins. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry fruity tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
