A special release from our barrel ageing programme, in celebration of our 30th anniversary! This one began life as a strong dark ale with a robust malt backbone, laying perfect foundations for the smooth warmth of the fresh Madeira cask. Decadently aromatic with a dried fruit sweetness and flavours of brown sugar, fortified by rich barrel character

750ml bottle from HOTM. Gluten Free. Dark brown-black colour with reddish tinge, foamy beige head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of sour fruit, wood barrel, leathery funk, malt, chocolate. Taste is sweet, malty, caramel, brown sugar, dried fruit, madeira, chocolate, liquorice notes, and soured fruity, woody, with earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying sourish malty roasty nutty bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Almost black. Aroma is initial vinous then malt. Taste light berry and chocolate. Then some funky sour. The Madeira certainly shows at the finish.
