Open fermented Rosé Berliner Weisse with lactobacillus and brettanomyces and brewed with rise hips, hibiscus, elderberries, and pink peppercorns. Inspired by the Maurice Sendak musical (which you should hum in your head as you drink).

Tap at RP. Bright berry red body. Medium bodied, easy drinking, fruity and refreshing, mild sour notes. The hibiscus sort of had that oxidized medicinal tone more than a juicy cherry. Unique enough, OK.

Draft at Right Proper. Poured a vibrant rose hue, very white foamy head. Aroma was light floral notes, elderberries. Very tart, floral, berry, very very good.

Pours pink cloudy without much head or lacing. Finishes with light sourness. Light hibiscus and Mich less sour than style usually is. A little bit of a miss fire. OK as a hibiscus beer though, along the lines of dieu du ciels rosee hibiscus. Tap at brewpub

Draft at the source. Hazy to cloudy pinkish red color, large off-pink head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma is floral summer berries. Taste is softly sour, delicate, nicely balanced by the hibiscus, with a bit of berry and light citrus. Heat index was 105 outside, but inside the brewpub this stuff was very cool.

On tap at the brewery, pours a very hazy bright red with some soft, off white head. Nose has a fair amount of yogurt, some grapefruit peel, peppercorns, herbal tea, floral too. Flavor is a mixture of tannic herbal tea and high end yogurt, some pepper corn, some yeast, mild malt, some blood orange. Tart finish.
