Brewed in collaboration with our friends at Aquatic Brewing down in Falmouth, MA. This medium-bodied porter abounds with smooth and sweet notes of brownie batter and baker's chocolate all layered over a pleasant smoky base featuring German Beechwood-smoked barley.

Wow, it smells like a smoked porter! Nicely smoked. That should be how it smells, but from my experience, most breweries that do a lot of volume of people who don't care much about beer don't actually make their smoked beer smokey. This one is, though, and it's quite rich for beechwood, with fudgey chocolate behind it and a good bit of hop and roast.
Smoke continues in to the flavor. The menu said this was 4.8% but the taplist on the wall said 6.1% and I believe that (6.1). Just too rich and malty for 4.8%. Not syrupy but very chewy. But not too sweet. Roast and slight hop help see to that.
