Bottle at the RBESG 2011 Grand Tasting, London. Pours clearish yellow. Sugar and honey in the nose. Very sweet flavor with some alcohol sting. Great honey character. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Warm and sticky with pure honey on the finish. It has an impressively authentic honey character. I’m lovin’ it. One of the best meads I’ve had.

Bottle, 5cl. More or less clear in the glass, deep golden in color. No head or carbonation. Very alcoholic on the nose, but with a good underlying honey aroma. Some heather. It’s sweet in the flavor, some alcohol too, and rather warming. Heather honey and not much else in the flavor. Except the alcohol though. Warming, sweet finish with dark heather honey. It smells nice actually, not bad flavor either, but it’s way too warming. A sip is nice, a glass is too much. 101016
