Draft at my hotel bar in gulf shores. Orange pour and soapy head. Nose is citrus and biscuits. Tatses of pine, oranges, crispy biscuit, some earth. Slick palate. Semi bitter. Didn’t need another beer today but alas. Oyster city being counted as a Florida tick through me off and needed this to balance

On tap at Fairhope, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma reveals a spicy, earthy, piney hop character, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour has a bit of diacetyl, light spicy and piney hops, and crisp biscuity malt with a hint of sweetness. Needs fixing but it's not too egregious.

12 oz bottle poured, brought back from the Alabama Florida line to be enjoyed in the Seattle slush. An enjoyable IPA for the weather for sure. A beautiful amber-ish color, with an active, lasting fizzing head. A nice aroma of a pine and bready malt combination. Flavor agrees with this balance. Flavorful malt, and resiny hops. Some darker malt flavor. Bready, caramel. I actually enjoyed this IPA in a few ways, mainly because it's hard to find an IPA like this around here these days. With all respect to IPAs that are about milkshakes and clouds, I need a beer like this more often than not.

Ever so slightly hazy coppered and bronze coloured body with a very thick, and quite soapy off-white head, about five centimetres tall. Aroma of light metal, some caramel and toffee with a quite earthy and nutty malt profile and showing some lower alpha acid hops (Germany/England?) with some bitterness noticeable towards the end and a hint of alcohol showing up in the nose. Medium-bodied; Deep metallic and earthy malt shows at first with a lot of alcohol and nuts around the edges and a touch of pungent grain and a tiny amount of sweetness that seems to come all from caramelised sugars and toffee and no fruits at all. Aftertaste shows some deeper malt and earthy notes with not much complexity or bitterness - more of an amber ale than anything else without much hops. Overall, a decent beer, but not for the style - this was lacking a big hop character, any signficance of bitterness and hardly any complexity - especially at the end with only some malts, caramel, nuts and alcohol at the end. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from Habersham Beverage Warehouse in Savannah, Georgia on 04-May-2018 for US$2,59 sampled in my hotel room here in Orlando, Florida on 07-May-2018.

12 ounce bottle. Deep orange gold color. Rocky beige head with clinging lace. Fruity malt nose. Bittersweet citrus hops right out of the gate. Then, a huge blast of peppery bitterness. Rich and complex middle. Notes of caramel and earthy malt. Finishes dry and bitter with herbal notes. Alcohol notes as well. Very well done.
