Inspired by the classic European Pilsner, this 5% beer has been given an English twist. Brewed with our own Farnham White Bine hops, the beer takes its name from the year these hops were first cultivated here in Surrey. Expect a clean, crisp Pilsner with floral notes and a balanced bitterness

Keg at the brewery tap. Clear gold, with a rising pillar of microbubbles. Mm thin translucent white head. Aroma has very sweet citrus and doughy malts. The flavour has some initial hoppy bitterness which then develops a metalic amd tart citrus edge. A core of sweeter citrus. Underlying bready malts. Gets a but gluey, sickly. But it lacks balance - it's all a bit too forcefull. Light. Thin. Soft-flat carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. It's OK... but as per my prior comment it's a but too in yer face. That in itself is actually very unusual for the Hog.
