Tap. Pours opaque black, small tan head, good lacing. Aroma is quite roasty, ashtray, dark breads, touch of hay. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, very roasty, a bit burned, some hay and a bit of rye like spice. Not a lot of Belgian influence, but a solid stout.

Draft at the source. Very dark brown color, small tan edge head. Aroma is roasty coffee and cocoa. Taste is sweet cocoa and nice roast. Tasty enough, but I miss the barnyard notes of a god saison.

Draft at the Source. Sold as a "Black Saison" - this beer pours a near pitch black color, perhaps extremely dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma is light roasted malts, light grain notes. Not bad, but misses the style mark I think, not enough funk comes through and it’s too much like a black IPA. Still very drinkable.
