A highly hopped, moderate bodied beer which comes in at 5.2% ABV. The hops schedule includes healthy doses of Chinook, Cascade, and Amarillo, and is tuned perfectly to provide the hops bitterness explosion that IPA fans seek without a lingering bitter aftertaste.

Tap at Mountain State. Classic East Coast/English IPA. Unfiltered copper orange. Creamy off-white head. Balance between the crystal malts and classic hops. Ringwood barky English yeast tones. Leans into the toffee caramel. OK, standard, inoffensive.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a large foamy orange-beige head that faded and left great lacing. The aroma was dryish, bitter and tart with notes of grapefruit and lemon. The flavor was bitter, tangy and a bit tart with notes grapefruit and lemon. Medium length finish. Medium body. Solid.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of Weihenweizen. Thanks! Pours a dark golden orange appearance with a cream colored head. Toasted caramel, light butter, grapefruit aroma. Chewy, cracker toasted malty, bland herbal, a touch citrusy flavor. A bit old but still not very good.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a tulip. Pours clear light amber with medium off-white head. Grapefruit hop aroma, medium body, low carbonation, and some small bubble lacing. Taste is some grapefruit hop, some herbal hops, Pretty good, bottle says Galena hops rather than Chinook there may have been a recipe change.
