Другий реліз barleywine у бочці з-під Blair Athol, але цього разу з марсалою в історії бочки. В смаку - карамель і вершкова іриска, темна вишня та сухофрукти, легка пряність і довгий зігріваючий фініш.
The second release of barleywine in a Blair Athol cask, but this time with Marsala in the cask's history. The taste is caramel and butterscotch, dark cherry and dried fruit, light spice and a long warming finish.

375ml presented by Lana Svitankova @ Ryan's shared with Josh, Farees, and Phill.
Aroma: malty, sweet, dark fruits.
Taste: along the same lines.
Overall: not particularly a barleywine by western world standards, feels more like something Belgian brewed. It's pleasant enough, though.

Light brown, looks thin. Smells like a thin barley wine. On the palate, it's decent, but has a bit of sugars. Not sugar I get a lot of the scotch on here. The marsala is actually more likely. OK, objectively, it's okay as a beer, but as a barley wine it's thin and simple, and the barrel isn't adding much if anything to the expression.

Poured from 375mL bottle (2026 vintage). Clear amber brown with small off-white head. Lightly woody, butterscotch, thin-medium body. Inoffensive, but quite thin and lacking complexity for a barley wine. Okay.
