Red brown with a medium sized tan head that left decent lacing. Bitter and a bit rough with fruity and floral hops. Long finish. Medium body.

On tap at North End, pours a cloudy dark reddish amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out sweet caramel malt, some bready notes and maybe a touch of hops. Flavour is malty and semi-sweet, with bready malt, toasted caramel, and minimal hops. Sweet and syrupy. Not an abomination, but this isn't great.

Approximately 3 ounce sample pour (in a plastic oversized shot glass) at the brewpub in Parkersburg, West Virginia. The pour is a light haze golden ruby with a small off white head. The aroma is caramel malt, lightly sweet and delicate floral hops. The taste is nice, the malt is caramel, naturally sweet, and the transition to the floral hops is smooth. The hops carry the finish, drying it out nicely. The palate is medium bodied, with a nice carbonation level and the clean dry finish. Nice one, certainly my favorite beer I tried at North End.

On tap at the NET. Pours a deep red with little head and no lacing. A little watery and taste is malty carboard. Just ok.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a lightly hazed amber color with a medium thin and creamy off-white head that dissipates steadily. Patches of lacing. The aroma is lightly malty and fruity. The body is a little thin and smooth, with caramel malt and fruit flavors, as well as some hops in the background. The finish is tart fruit with a lingering sweet malt aftertaste. As N.E.T.’s flagship beer this should be a little better.
