Toasted malt sweetness with hints of cocoa, toffee & nougat balanced by an insistent earthy, herbaceous & citric hop dryness. Brewed with Columbus, Chinook, Cascade, Amarillo & Centennial hops.

Sampled on site. On cask and dry hopped. Pours a hazy brick red with some foamy, white head. Nose has a real vinous note to it, some lemon, a little lime syrup, some pear, some raisin. Flavor is malty, a little slick and oily, lemon, orange. Malty finish. Probably a decent base beer elevated a bit by the cask treatment.

Draft at the source. Deep amber brown color, tan head. Aroma of earthy dried fruits, toasted caramel. Taste is bitter, peppery, full bodied, earthy. Very tasty. 8-2-8-4-14-3.7. Cask courtesy of staff. They saw me drinking the normal version and gave me a glass of the handpull cask version dry hopped with Cascade. Aroma is amazing, of course, and the taste is bitter but bslanced. 9-4-8-4-15.
