4 oz pour on draft at Forge. Murky brown with light tan head. Aromas of chocolate, raspberries, a bit of booze, light herbs. Tastes of big cocoa, chocolate, raspberries, light booze, subtle herbs. Medium body with a dry finish. Well masked alcohol. Pretty tasty, one of their better offerings.

22oz bottle pours a murky, deep brown with some creamy, tan head. Nose has a lot of raspberry, a bit jammy, mild chocolate, malt, a little bread crust, multigrain bread. Flavor has a lot of chocolate, malty, molasses, toast, caramel. Chalky finish.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a near pitch black color with a small, wispy head, perhaps a touch of ruby on the edges of the glass. Aroma is some sweet, dried fruits, cocoa nibs, burnt malts. Flavor was plums, malt, chocolate notes. Rich, but not too boozy.
