Spicy and herbal Marynka hops and two row and caramel malt from the city of Gdansk create a balanced, amber ale. Originally brewed to celebrate the 1200th anniversary of the home of one of our favorite breweries from the Polish Beer Trip, this style commemorates both Polish brewing history and Harpoon tradition.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured an orange-bronze color with a huge foamy orange-white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was malty, bready and had a touch of cherry. The flavor was grape soda, artificial sugar and had an off bite. Short finish of grape soda and artificial sugar. Medium body. Pretty awful.

Pours blood orange into a shaker. Off-white head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Summer fruit and caramel aromas. Sharp with sweet caramel and pepper upfront turning to bitter earth in the lasting finish.

On tap in a flight at Ale Yeah! Pours light brown, with a small, beige head. The aroma is overripe apples, bubblegum, cereals, and some mellow hops. Sweet, with a mild hop bitterness. Medium body, smooth, and silky, with a pleasant, sweet aftertaste. This is a unique and delicious beer. Complex and flavorful, but very smooth and drinkable.

22 oz. bottle. The color is a clear amber with a ring of white head. Nose is biscuit malt with a European/ German hop variety. Very caramel Vienna malt forward, lager yeast in the middle of the sip with the Euro hop again in the finish. Well…. What to else to say here? I tried this for the style completion. I guess people in Eastern Europe like this stuff?
