Pencil shavings, dandelion, rye nose. Hazy amber, huge head, nice lace. Dandelion, bread dough, green rye, lemongrass. Medium body, easy carbonation. Pretty much a tasty low ABV IPA, more bitter and full bodied than the standard session IPA interpretation. I'm down with that.

2 month old can, tulip glass. A: Pours a glassful of loose foam. Even retains. Not good. The beer itself is pretty good looking. Extremely hazy dark yellow. Turbulent carbonation seen through the murk when held to bright light. S: Very nice tropical aromas of peach, melon and maybe some pineapple astringency. T: Very different from the nose. Once the head subsides it has warmed a bit, revealing bitter pine and sharp citrus pith. A faint sour bread malt note at the end. M: Light and thin but with some resin at the finish. O: The over-carb issue is disappointing but does not ruin what I think is a good and fairly distinctive SIPA.

Growler from the brewery, filled four days ago, kept chilled, not shipped across the country. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a medium sized frothy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus, herbal, spicy hops, distant pale malts. The taste is citrus and piney hops. Faint pale malts. Thin-medium bodied. Solid.
