Barrel Aged Blue Moon Bestowed is an Imperial Stout aged for 18 months in a single Willett bourbon barrel. This barrel was an absolute standout during a recent barrel tasting so we wanted to release it on its own without any adjuncts. Our brewery name, Third Moon, refers to a blue moon so this is a special one for us. We are releasing it in celebration of the blue moon happening this Sunday! Superficial tasting at Bad Seed Beer Fest 2026. Black body under a thin beige head. Strong aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, caramel, bourbon, vanilla, wood and alcohol. Heavy but nice in taste, dark malt, caramel, coffee, chocolate, bourbon, warming alcohol, vanilla, wood and balanced bitterness. Nice sipper.
