Black Nettle was mashed with pale English, crystal, pale chocolate, caramelized oat, and triticale malts. We hopped our stout in the kettle with Spalt Select and allowed it to steep with fresh locally harvested stinging nettles then open-fermented it with our house pub ale strain. Spunded for natural carbonation.
π« We get notes of baking chocolate, graham cracker, caramel and Thin Mint Cookies on this smooth and sessionable stout.

Canned 5/5/26, drunk 5/30/26.
Licorice-redolent dry stout-like character with light baker's chocolate, fruity yeast and a clean finish.
Interesting. Would never pick out stinging nettle, or any adjunct to be honest, in a million years, but it tastes f-in' great! Nice and chewy and round with excellent sweetness and drying out nicely on the end. True to Bizarre, it has about twice the flavor you'd expect from its ABV. Continuing chewy toffee and graham cracker with just enough sweetness to enliven and enrich it, without it getting too sweet or impeding drinkability.
