With Gangsta Legend , the Alsatian brewery Les Intenables delivers a powerful statement in terms of bitterness and aroma. This American West Coast IPA, at 7.0% ABV, is a no-holds-barred homage to the classic style. Boasting a hefty 74 IBUs (International Bitterness Units), it's aimed at those who appreciate a distinctive, clean bitterness.
The hop combination reads like a best-of of US varieties: Warrior, Chinook (Oregon), Strata, Columbus (Moxee), and Ekuanot . To maximize the aroma, the beer was double dry-hopped (DDH) at 15 g/L . Expect a clear, golden IPA with an intense bouquet of pine resin, grapefruit, and tangy citrus, complemented by subtle tropical notes from the Strata hops. The body is light, the finish dry and refreshingly bitter—just as a West Coast legend should be.

clear yellow, white head
nice full bodied grapefruit pine and flowers aroma, fairly gentle but very balanced, a bit more flowers than strong ipa's from the states.
Really good and balanced flavor, abv held well, flowery and a lot of grapefruit and pine, end is grapefruit and pine, sweetness is there but not too much, malts are there, creating a good body, but not stealing the show by tasting nutty or caramelly or whatever. this beer is dangerously drinkable.

Picked up from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg and consumed at home Thursday 28th May 2026 listening to Emily Pilbeam sitting in for Huw Stephens on 6Music, we're listening to Round Table tonight. Pours hazy yellow with a decent white head, slightly foamy. Nicely bitter and drying on the finish. There is little bit of grapefruit initially but then it sits back and there's some resinous touches, not as malty as a real classic American West Coast IPA, but it's got a more modern, clean feel to it. Good. Score: 7.6
