Can. Hazy orange gold beer, small but tidy bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, a little dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied pale malts, a mild creamy sweetness. Hydra hops a first for me, mixed here with Nectaron and Motueka, well known hops to me, which helps to isolate what Hydra is all about. Punchy mandarin obvious, some peel and lesser tangerine. A little floral mandarin. Green grape is claim for this hop and that comes through on the back end. Nectaron stone fruits come through briefly, Motueka slightly lost but not invisible. Light cooling pine throughout. Nice IPA, good fruity hoppage and nice intro into Hydra. This new hop would make good West Coast fayre.
