On tap at the brewery on opening night. Pours a hazy caramel amber with one ring of white head. Nose is brown sugar, light flick of smoke, black pepper, cherry cordial, clove. Smells like fruit cake. Flavor is just like fruit cake, cherry, brown sugar, light smoke, some clove, honey, almost a little buckwheat. Sweet finish.

Draft at the source, opening day. Hazy maroon brown color, tan head. Aroma of burning toast and light caramel, subtle licorice. Taste is sweet and malty with a nice edge of smoke. Very tasty.
