Wow, bad luck for my first couple beers back in the states. Had this in Princeton from a mixed sixer at wegmans. Definitely a misfire for the style. Pours very pale. Taste is astringent but not exactly bitter. Hops just taste weird here. Smell is odd as well, with an almost sour maltiness.

12 ounce bottle from Total Wine West Richmond, VA. Pours a clear pale golden color with a thin frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of cereal grains, honey, floral hops. The taste is herbal, floral hops with toasted grain and honey. Medium bodied. Decent.

Bottle: Poured a light bright golden color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma consists of sweet malt base with light dry hoppy notes. Taste is also dominated by light dry hoppy notes with a malt base that is quite sweet. Body is quite full with good carbonation. It is indeed pale with limited character though not sure I could drink load of those in a session.

Hay and distinct cat urine smell. Cloudy amber, thin head. Hay,and cabbage flavor, with just a touch of cat urine. Astringent and hard to finish. Tragic.

Botttle from Oak Tree. Pours orange amber with a creamy/bubbly white head. Aroma seems lightly floral. Med body. Flavor is lightly spicey with some mild caramel. Makes me think of a light Belgian ale. Then it develops a flavor I associate with Asian food - actually maybe an incense note. It’s not exceptionally bitter, but it’s dry. Unusual to me.

From a bottle, smell is a little off ruity, almost like fermented. Reminds me of my gramma’s permanent hair treatment. First taste is somewhat noneventful. Not too bitter and decent co2 Fairly easy, a more milder APA, fer sure. Rotting fermented fruit carries over to the background of the flavor. Never approaches IPA territory like many APA try to do. Almost acceptable by a lager lovers standards.

12oz bottle pours clear deep gold with weak white head. The aroma is floral with thin ribbons of metallic notes, spicy hops and sweet to caramel malts. The taste seems like it has the hop bill of a macro pale lager with floral notes, sharp acidic to metallic notes and mild spicy hops. I also get sweet malts with a touch of esteriness and some caramel malts heading into the finish. The floral and estery notes make this a Pale I just don’t dig.
