Cask at the source. Hazy golden amber color, small fluffy white head. Aroma of lightly burnt caramel. Taste is slightly sour toffee. Very light body.

4 oz sample at Iron Hill Maple Shade, New Jersey. The pour is clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is cracker and crystal malt, touch of dry floral hops. The taste is the cracker toasty malt, with crystal iced tea flavors. The floral aspect gives some bitterness to the finish. The palate is light to medium bodied, fine carbonation, and a mineral iced tea finish. Easy drinking, solid ESB.

On tap at the lancaster pub. Clear orange in colot. Slightly fruity on the onset, enjotable effect. Yes, a tad bitter but has all the good mild mannered attributes of a well behaved english bitter. Not bad overall. that fruityness really adds a friendly aspect to this brew. Nearly flat on the palate. Medium lenght bitter finish. Its anem makes you think it would be harder hitting than it really is. Not as dark as pictured here.

Draft at Phoenixville location...smells sweet and malty, very mild...very little head...hops present ..nice effervescence...the bubbles disintegrate in the mouth, taste is nice...hops blended well with the malts...its more fun texture wise than taste

Draft at the West Chester location, July 2006. The color is like polished copper with a lazing beige head. The aroma is very light, what is there is malty with hints of caramel - too light for my liking. The flavor is sweet with a floral hoppiness combined with roasted bread, caramel, and toffee, leading to a dry nicely bitter end, where the caramel lingers around.
