Smoked jalapeño pepper, or chipotle, adds a smoky kick without excessive heat, giving this beer a complex, lingering, lightly spicy finish. Firm hop bitterness, smoke, and slight fruit from the peppers, not spicy/hot. Heavy citrus and nuanced earth flavors from the hops.

Suggested food pairings: Carnitas, tacos, burgers and BBQ. Great with spicy desserts like gingerbread. Pair with pepper Jack, mild blue cheese, gorgonzola, or smoked cheese.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours translucent copper with a 4 finger frothy/foamy off-white head. Aroma is spicy pepper over muted roast caramel. Med + body. Flavor matches the aroma - tho the chili is not super hot. Not at all. This beer would likely go with many foods. Finishes spicy and rather dry.

Location: 22 ozbottle from State Line, 5/12/13

Aroma: The aroma has some earthy and fruity hops, with some nice peppery spice
Appearance: It pours a cloudy reddish-orange color with a foamy beige head and fairly heavy lace
Flavor: Well balanced between some light malt sweetness, a mid hop bite, and a peppery finish
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has a pretty solid feel, finishes lights dry and lightly peppery
Overall Impression: This is a solid one. The bitterness isn't quite up to the level of an IPA, but it works well with the somewhat subtle spice. Good, but not amazing. The spice works nicely, but the underlying IPA is only decent.

Bottle. Pours clear orange with bone white head. Nose mango, tropical fruits, pineapple husk, honey and caramel malt and subtle hints of chili pepper. Taste is same with a tiny bit more pepper, but tropical fruits dominate. Finishes a bit dry. Medium body.
