There is something about a "meh" beer that ruines my night of freedom. No work until Tueaday. Oh yes. Beer a'plenary.

Pours chocolate brown with a thin creme head. Aroma of sweetened syrup dominates. Taste is exactly like that of a very dry stout but watery and with hints of maple. Palate includes a hint of maple on the nose that exudes the substance of a maple tre

Bottle at home during playoff football. Looks more like a cola than a beer. Nose is brown sugar and some malt. Tastes of roasted malt, earth, grainy, brown sugar, light maple syrup, and some cherry. Watery palate.

Bottle from Hannaford, Reddish brown color with a smallish but long lasting creamy of white head. Caramel dark sugar and a hint of cherry and chocolate on the nose. Flavor follows the aroma and adds a touch of bitter butterscotch. Not bad

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass. Appearance is hazy reddish brown with nice sparkle, minimal beige head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is tons of caramel/toffee with some dark fruit, light baker’s chocolate & coffee. Taste is toffee, roasted malts. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with average texture and carbonation, dry mix of mild sweet and bitter. Overall, I didn’t get any maple syrup, the aroma was really intriguing but the taste didn’t live up to it.
