Orange Kveik NEIPA
A juicy NEIPA fermented with norwegian kveik yeast and loaded with oranges. A combination of orange juice and zest meets expressive hopping, creating a full-bodied, slightly rustic profile with dominant notes of orange and citrus.
After Eye of Odin, we return to Norse mythology with another Valhalla-inspired beer. This time, we pay tribute to the goddess Sól, who, according to legend, raced across the sky in her chariot of the sun. And that’s exactly how this beer is meant to feel – radiant, energetic and untamed. The base is a New England IPA fermented with norwegian kveik yeast. This gives the beer a slightly rustic character while enhancing the overall fruitiness of the profile. On top of that, we added oranges in multiple forms – both juice and zest – resulting in a bold, juicy citrus line with a subtle bitter, zesty finish. The hop combination of Citra Dynaboost, Krush and Amarillo pushes the beer even further. It brings layers of citrus, sweet fruit and a gentle resinous touch that beautifully complements the orange profile. The result is a full, aromatic beer with a slightly wild character that carries you just as relentlessly as the chariot of the goddess Sól.
Hops used: Agnus, YCH 702, Krush, Amarillo, Citra Dynaboost

Can in train from GWBC. Hazy yellow orange color with of-white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, quickly followed by moderate oranges. Taste is quite sweet with oranges, zest, some spiciness. Hop burn. Malt is shy, hops are in foreground, hop burn. Not so tasty. More or less average beer.

Can from Base Camp. Murky pale yellow body, off-white head. Pretty big aroma, herbal, kveik funk, phenolic touches. Lean, dryish taste, too much kveikish funk, not enough orange or hop payback, yeasty, gluey notes... bit phenolic.... no, this might be the worst Zichovec hoppy beer I've had in a while.
