Pours dark brown, coffee, chocololate, sweetish in aroma. Taste is interesting, feels like a double dry Stout. It has roast, chocolate, liquorice, quite light in body,. Not like an Imperial Stout, feels drier and lighter.

On tap at OGH. Dark and thick with a strong head. Lots of toast and nutty flavours up front with a boozy port finish.

Bottle shared. Big roasty cacao nib nose with coffee and deep prune. Well-balanced on the palate with the alcohol being hidden well. Intensely roasty, not bitter by any means just too much roast that kind of overwhelms everything else. Dark chocolate and roasted malt on the finish.

Bottle from the source. Almost completely black color, brown head, solid lacing. Aroma of fresh pine, cocoa. Taste is rich burnt espresso, dark unsweetened cocoa. Delicious.

Dark brown, thin head. Aroma is sweet and fudgey. Taste has an earthy, tobaccoey element, with a little stinging malt. Rich bitter finish. Intense. Good stuff.
