Our great neighbors and friends, the Brown family, have maple trees on their property. Partnering with them, we brewed a brown ale and used Maple Sap to completely replace the brewing water.

Reddish brown, slight brownish tan head. A note of sweetness, but it doesn't have much maple involved. Taste is definitely not a full on beer OR maple syrup taste. I think some of the grains do come through more than in the slightly sweeter liquid. Then again, we don't realize how much sap has to be boiled off to get to syrup. Then a little maple finally appears toward the end.
