Draught @ Smoke & Barrel, Washington, D.C. Pours slightly hazy light amber with airy white head. Clear vinous aroma with notes of yeast and hops. Clear taste of pumpkin and malt with subtle vinous and grainy touches. Rough finish. OK but rather watery.

Slightly hazy amber coloured body with a copper glow and a thin, one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of raisins, malt, allspice, a hint of nutmeg and a bunch of squash. Medium-bodied; Assertive bitter flavour from the spices with nutmeg showing mostly, coupled with a large malt/squash flavour and a hint of sweetness and nuts at the very end with an almost nut brown flavour. Aftertaste shows some good qualities with more alcohol warmth and sweetness coming out, but still, a decent herbed/spiced flavour. Overall, a decent beer all said with some good spices and a nice deep bitter flavour at first, but not much complexity along with some harsh flavours make this an acceptable, but largely forgettable beer. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Crystal City Wine Shop in Arlington, Virginia on 24-November-2012 for US$2.29 sampled at home less than a block away on 27-November-2012.

12 ounce bottle from Grape & Gourmet. Pours a hazy orange-amber color with floating particles. Medium sized fizzy head. Below average head retention. Aroma of pumpkin, cidery apples, spice and a slighty tart note. The taste is pumpkin, spice, hay, apples, strawberries, herbal hops. Medium bodied. Weird one.

Aroma: The nose is mostly the various pumpkin spices, with some caramel malts, and notes of floral hop
Appearance: It pours a cloudy dark orange color with a small off-white head and some drippy lace
Flavor: Tastes a little bit sweet, a little bit spicy, and has a underling (rather light) hop bitterness as well
Palate: The body is light-medium, the carbonation feels too fizzy, with a decent, but not great, mouthfeel
Overall Impression: I certainly didn't hate this one, but it was not a top of style offering for me either. The nose is solid, but not super exciting, the taste is much the same. The mouthfeel was a little below my hopes as well, with a little too much carbonation. Decent pumpkin beer, but nothing more.
